Andalucia

Andalucía is an autonomous community of Spain with a population of about 8.3 million (in 2009/2010). It is the largest of the seventeen autonomous communities of the Kingdom of Spain (by population) and is the second largest, in terms of land area (approximately 88 thousand square kilometers or 34 thousand square miles or two-thirds the size of England).

The capital of Andalucía, and its largest city, is Sevilla. The region is divided into eight provinces: Almería, Cádiz, Córdoba, Granada, Huelva, Jaén, Málaga and Sevilla

The coastline runs for 1100 km which, combined with one of the sunniest and warmest climates in Europe, makes it a major "sun and sand" holiday destination.
